Previous to that I was in South Beach, Sunday to Thursday, having spent the previous weekend in Tahoe for Smitty's batchelor party. It was an epic weekend consisting of gambling, smoking, drinking and snowboarding. The preceding Thursday I saw Groove Collective play in LA. Hope all is well with the rest of you fools.

I watched John G take center stage last night for his first headlining solo gig. He "opened" for open mike night at a local joint steeped liberally in L.A. music history. They let Juannie play 5-6 songs, of which I believe 4 were originals -- freshly written gems about peace and love for the acoustic axe. Anyway, John belted out his characteristic blend of screaming folk and slippery fretwork to a crowd of about 30 (including Anne Garofalo)and received large ovations throughout.
